Why are retreats important for YOU?
A retreat is a temporary act of stepping back from the tasks and routines of daily life, to be immersed in learning and mindful awareness. The dictionary defines retreat as an act or process of withdrawing especially from what is difficult, dangerous, or disagreeable; the process of receding from a position or state attained. Individuals interpret "retreat"as a place of privacy or safety or refuge. Scholars and religious refer to "retreat" as a period of group withdrawal for prayer, meditation, study, or instruction under a director.
As opposed to a vacation, which is quite simply a time off from everyday routine, retreats are purposeful getaways that offer everything including, spiritual healing, fitness through hiking, meditation or yoga, mindfulness and much more. Here are a few reasons why you want to prioritize a retreat:
